#drinkbeergivewater is the striking hashtag from Brewgooder, one of our customers from Citibase Edinburgh St. Colme Street

In early 2016, the guys at Brewgooder set out on a simple mission – to provide clean water for 1,000,000 people by donating 100% of their profits from their special craft beer to clean water charities.

We’re proud that this great social enterprise calls Citibase Edinburgh St. Colme Street home, and were delighted that Alan Mahon from Brewgooder, won an iPad for completing our recent Business Confidence Index survey (Alan is pictured receiving his prize from Citibase Operations Manager Katrina Kendrick).

The team at Brewgooder say they were always passionate about craft beer and wanted to use it to help other people. With the help of BrewDog – who brew their beer for zero margin – they founded Brewgooder on World Water Day 2016.

Josh Littlejohn and Alan, the founders, said: “Clean water is the first bridge out of poverty for entire communities, particularly for women and children. When less time is spent sourcing a safe supply of water go to school, grow more food, join the workforce, and get involved with their community.”
