What is your role at Citibase
Commercial Development Manager – my job is to oversee the Customer experience within my cluster of Centres and ensure that we continue to retain and grow our Customer base.
When did you join Citibase and what was your role?
I joined Citibase in April 2017 as an Area Operations Manager responsible for the line management of the Centre Managers within my cluster as well as overseeing service, standards and compliance.
Describe a typical day for you at Citibase?
The beauty of it is that no day is the same as there is so much variety to the role and depending on the time of week or month there will be different things I will be working on. Generally speaking I will spend most of my time meeting with Customers to discuss plans for their office space, whether that be for an upcoming renewal or potential changes to their space; such as an expansion or refurbishment works they wish to undertake in order to customise the office to their requirements. I will then spend the latter half of the day sending out proposals and quotations based on the meetings I have had. I also touch base on a daily basis with our teams to make sure that we are doing all we can to deliver the best Customer service in our Centres.
What are you most proud of?
Undefeated rugby tour to New Zealand and being named Man Of The Tour. Hopefully our England team can go undefeated at the 2019 World Cup!
Who inspires you?
Andy Murray – Firstly for bouncing back from losing the 2012 Wimbledon final to then beating the same opponent in Roger Federer, arguably the greatest player of all time, a few weeks later at the same venue at the 2012 Olympics. More recently for winning the doubles title at Queen’s in only his first tournament back after hip surgery. I think these speak volumes for his determination and work ethic, proving that you should never give up no matter what life throws at you.
How do you take your tea?
Strong, with only a little milk.
Batman or Superman?
Superman – because when I’m wearing my glasses it has been said that I look like Clark Kent!
The last song you played?
Michael Bublé – Come Fly With Me
