Meet Laetitia, she’s our HR Business Partner who handles everything from training to payroll – And was recently found jumping off a boat into the Blue Lagoon!

What is your role at Citibase?

HR Business Partner – my role is to advise and guide managers and employees on HR policies and processes covering HR areas such as employee relations, absence and performance management. I also get involved in recruitment, payroll and training.

When did you join Citibase and what was your role?

I joined Citibase two years ago in August 2017 as a HR Advisor – I don’t know where the time has gone, it feels like I only joined last week!

What have you learned from your time at Citibase?

I have learned so much at Citibase as it is a smaller company compared to my last, who had several departments within HR. Working in a small HR department means I get involved in everything, which I love as I have gained so much knowledge and experience. Before starting at Citibase I mainly specialised in employee relations, but I am now much more experienced in recruitment, training and development and even payroll – if someone told me five years ago that I would be processing payroll for a company I would have laughed and said “yeah right!”

What are you most proud of?

Completing my Level 7 CIPD course whilst working full time – it was hard at times, coming home after a long day at work to revise, but was honestly totally worth it!

What’s the last movie you saw?

The Parent Trap – a childhood favourite of mine. I pretty much know all of the words!

Where’s the last place you went on holiday?

I went to Croatia in July; it is such a beautiful country that I highly recommend visiting! I went to visit the famous Krka National Park which has stunning waterfalls that you can swim under! I went on a trip to the Blue Lagoon and jumped off a boat into the sea (I’m not going to lie it took me about 15 minutes to gain the courage to do this), I also visited Hvar island and hiked up Marjan Hill for a spectacular view of Split.

What advice would you give to your younger self?

Step out of your comfort zone & take more risks – you’ll thank yourself for it later!
