Faces of Citibase: Meet Dan

Meet Dan, he’s one of our Centre of Excellence Coaches who is focused on coaching our centre teams, drinking vanilla lattes and getting down to some old-school classics!

The people who work at Citibase are really important to us. After all, they’re the living, breathing, speaking, smiling proof that Citibase’s unique ‘Freedom at Work’ philosophy is working.

They come from all sorts of backgrounds and bring their own characters to whatever job they are doing. They’re positive, good organisers, great communicators, real team players and are proud to say ‘we work at Citibase.’

Meet Dan, he’s one of our Centre of Excellence Coaches, who is focused on coaching our Centre teams, drinking vanilla lattes and getting down to some old-school classics!

What is your role at Citibase?

I’m a Centre of Excellence Coach – my job is to ensure that all the Centre teams in my cluster receive the support and personal development they require to really shine.

When did you join Citibase and what was your role?

I first joined Citibase over two years ago, back in March 2017 as the Centre Manager at Citibase Warrington Birchwood.

How has Citibase helped you in your career development?

Within my previous role as Centre Manager, I very much enjoyed managing and developing a
team. Citibase recognised my ambitions and understood my key strengths. They offered me the opportunity to support my area manager with staff development and recruitment as well as going to different Centres to offer best practice coaching.

This really helped me develop as a manager, heightened my coaching skills and provided me experience for my career progression. So, when the opportunity arose for a coaching role as a Centre of Excellence Coach, I felt I was fully prepared (and excited) for this opportunity. It is a pleasure to work for Citibase and I am absolutely loving my new role.

What are you most proud of?

Winning Centre Manager of the year 2018 at the Citibase Conference, which celebrated our 25th anniversary.

Who inspires you?

This is a bit of a random one, but it’s tennis player Serena Williams… I absolutely love tennis and to see Williams’ continual rise despite being compared to her sister as well as the challenges she went through to establish herself onto the tennis circuit has been really inspiring. To see where she started and the legend she has become today is outstanding.

What’s your coffee order?

Vanilla Latte… but has to be a Costa one!

Your favourite movie quote?

“A martini. Shaken, not stirred.” Probably the most famous one out there… but you can’t beat a
James Bond film.

The last song you played?

Candi Staton – You Got The Love. The sun was shining on my way to work, I had the old-school tunes on – the greatest start to the day!
